Proclimber Tenex eye to eye Prussiks
Made from Samson Tenex Tec, (sling grade Tenex) this is a polyester 12-strand hollow braid rope of 9mm diameter. With a MBS of 5,500lbs these are incredibly strong, they are also nice to handle, they hold a hitch well and slide smoothly.
Due to the fact that this rope lays flat (similar to an electricity cable) there is a much greater surface area in contact with your climbing line, making a firmer grip. We have tried these Prussiks with all kinds of friction hitches, and the results have been fantastic.
Also they can be used as a hip Prussik, this would be attached to your Lanyard, and because of the spliced eye terminations, you can add a micro pulley to the system, making it less bulky on your Karabiner.
